Free E-mail for KR6X.com Visitors

Welcome to the KR6X.com Amateur Radio Web Ring page! A lot of work has been done on the main pages at KR6X.com since there was any update performed on the Amateur Radio pages. There are now two free e-mail services offered by this web site -- these may interest to many who visit here. Why two different services? You can choose between the prestigeous Mail@KR6X.net, providing you with the shorter e-mail address (YourName@KR6X.net) and highly reliable redundant servers administrated by BigMailBox (upgrading soon to new faster servers), or the ultimate features in an upgradeable e-mail service from Mail@KR6X.ZZN.com administrated by Zap Zone Network. Basic full service web based e-mail is always free at both KR6X.net and KR6X.ZZN.com, but Zap Zone offers your choice from numerous languages free, and also offers very attractive low cost service upgrades such as notification of e-mail relayed to your pager, e-mail by phone (for when you are away from your computer), etc. You get instant gratification from both Mail@KR6X.net and Mail@KR6X.ZZN.com -- lots of great user names are still left on both servers. Could you hope to get the user name of John@hotmail.com? Sue@aol.com? Jim@CompuServe.com? (Note: capitalization doesn't matter! Use jOHN@kr6x.NET if you prefer... it will still arrive!)

Amateur Radio News Page

The amateur radio news page may be reached through by clicking the hypertext or by clicking on the tropical paradise at the top of the page. It may also be reached through the menu found at the upper left of many pages of this site. To return to this page, again, use the menu.

KR6X Has Another E-Mail Address: webmaster@contesting.com

With all of the attachments.  That's correct; KR6X is now the webmaster at the 2 million hits-per-month website http://www.contesting.com/.

This web site includes over 80,000 pages of amateur radio contesting news, information, and feature articles compiled by W4AR over the past 8 years.  If you've never seen this site, make sure you don't miss it now!

Amateur Radio World (de)Tour

If you are following the amateur radio web rings, you may now take a short diversion -- a sort of a detour -- from your scheduled romp. If your browser supports java and frames, take the tour below now. Sorry -- no noframes version will be available for a while.

New Amateur Radio Links Web Ring

There is a new amateur radio web ring from N2OR. Check at the bottom of the page for the newest web ring in ham radio. Sign up now to assure that your own web page will have a prestigious spot at the top of the listing. Don't have a web page? You can get one for only ~$5.00-$8.00 monthly. You can have your own domain name -- InterNIC fee totaling $3/month (out of the $8) -- ([your callsign].net, for instance), and 20 MB of web space (all my pages use only ~1.5 Meg this week) with no advertizing from Tripod.com ($3/month of the $8 to remove the Tripod.com pop-up ad) plus URL forwarding from NameSecure ($2/month of the $8; small setup fee required). This includes e-mail forwarding to your present e-mail address from your personalized domain name. Click on the domain button in the navigation bar at the upper left for more details. E-mail me, and I'll include your new page in the rotation of the online magazine with the rare DX and drive traffic to your site!

Leigh, KR6X, has been an active amateur radio contest operator since 1965. Past callsigns include WB6OLD, WB6LVX, and N6NT. Member of the W6RW CW multioperator team (with operators now K6NA, N6ZZ, N6AA, K0RF, and many more) in the 1960's. WA6LXN/6 ARRL Field Day team member and operator at W6HX, both single operator and multioperator single transmitter, in the 1970's. Lately operating from W6RU (past callsigns were N6UR and W6TG).
Krista, KQ6FB, was first licensed in 1992 as KD6OBH. She is helping KR6X to build a modest radio shack with two TS940SAT transceivers in the canyons of Santa Clarita, CA. Local building codes effectively restrict amateur radio antennas to 35 feet in height; please join us in working to eliminate this sort of discrimination against amateur radio operators!
